In the pursuit of versatility and a story to tell, Uncle Cobes, an upcoming Toronto artist dropped his insane and highly anticipated new mixtape “EMO”. He seems to have established this new project as his best work and has a music video for “Can’t Relate” dropping on September 28th!
The mixtape presents itself as a Hype Heartbreak styled mixtape, and speaks to anybody going through the motions of a bad time in life and the falling out of a relationship.
With songs like “Moodz”, “Can’t Relate” and “Jamaica”, he brought not only the heat, but an array of different sounds that can take you from one world to the next with a single transition.
Sonically comparable to the likes of Travis Scott, Cobes puts a spin on his sound and makes sure you hear the similarity as well as the difference. His musical inspirations make themselves known on this project and mesh well to create the narrative and struggles of heartbreak without keeping out the anger that resides after a break-up or falling out.
