This year has been a star-studded one for the Toronto underground scene. As of late, we’ve had many prominent local artists grace our stages and even historic events taking place. With QuotedTO’s back to back events at Lee’s Palace this past April and “No Status” presented by Urbain Media Productions, Wintr Skyes and Calvin Moon earlier this year which essentially started the movement were slowly seeing pick up steam.
This event isn’t without cause not only for the artists, but for the charity the proceeds from this event will go to. All proceeds will be going to The Knights Table Food Bank to aid those in need of food for the coming cold winter months in the city. Tickets are $20 both online and at the door and can be bought here!
This year, all of the Underground’s hard work has culminated in the first award show for the Underground and the first of it’s kind: the first annual Toronto Honours Underground Awards, presented by Objectivized and hosted by Toronto MC and DJ Brankoo. Accompanying him are performances by budding artists Thelonius, Misaa and more.
Further details for the event are listed here:

Voting will commenced at 8PM tonight as of this writing for the categories of Event of the Year, Album of The Year, Single of the Year and Act of the Year respectively.
With such success coming up through the Toronto Underground, we may be witnessing a Florida-like musical renaissance similar to the 2018 Soundcloud scene. With all the artist direction and creativity across the board, you should be sure the Toronto Honours will present a star-studded awards ceremony the city won’t soon forget.
