Is Mario2Times Looking To Takeover NYC This Year?

The buzz in NYC over the upcoming NY Drill artist known as “MARIO2TIMES” or “The Mayor Of NYC” has become one of the fastest come-ups we over at Sonus Magazine have seen in recent memory.

The Brooklyn, New York native would spend 11 years of his life there before moving to Staten Island, where shortly after this he would begin writing music at around the age of 13.

At first I was just playing around and joking with friends until I found something I loved to do.; 2TIMES would describe the beginning of his music writing journey as more of a hobby at this point. As time passed though, he would come to realize his passion for music ran deep and with the arrival of the COVID-19 Pandemic, he found an opportunity to use his ample time stuck indoors to work, hone and perfect his musical craft.

By the end of 2021, MARIO2TIMES would drop his first track titled “FREEZER” with features of fellow underground artists NY Rossi & Jay Foreign. Other note-able tracks that began to gain traction during that year would be KEEP IT 100featuring and READY. By the end of 2022 moving into 2023, MARIO2TIMES had become a major buzzing underground artist in his city, even receiving and invite to open for JI The Prince of NY and headline his OWN show, all in the same year. Basically, if there was a rookie of the year candidate, he would be our top pick for the year!

Most recently, the Mayor of NYC has dropped bangers such as “DEMON FLOW” featuring Mell Bankroll which have begun to shake the city and has got people to start tuning into his music by the thousands! At 18, the skies are only the limit for the young upcoming artist.
